Men's BasketballGreen Victorious In Green-White Scrimmage October 28, 2007 WATERBURY, Conn.-Senior swingman Arthur Robertson had 30 points and nine rebounds, as the Green Team defeated the White Team 88-77 in the second annual Post University men's basketball Green and White Scrimmage at the Drubner Center Sunday evening. Robertson was 9-of-13 from the field and nailed five three-pointers, to lead three Green Team players in double-digit scoring efforts. Senior forward Peter Lawal had 23 points on 10-of-15 shooting from the field, while controlling nine rebounds. Junior swingman James Lee had 10 points on 4-of-7 shooting. "I thought it went well," Head Coach Mike Donnelly said following the game. "There were a lot of good things by both teams, and there are things that we need to work on. But overall, the guys did what we wanted them to without much practice time." The White Team had four scorers in double figures led by junior Jesse Iyalekhue who had a double-double of 29 points and 10 rebounds. The junior center shot 12-of-17 from the field and controlled six offensive caroms. Junior forward AJ Reitter had 12 points on 5-of-12 shooting, and senior guard Tyrone Dulin added 11 points on 4-of-6 from the floor. Freshman Garvin McAlister had 10 points on 4-of-7 from the field, while knocking down a pair of three-pointers. Each team shot fairly well from the field, as the Green converted 60.7 percent (34-56) from the floor, including 66.7 percent (18-27) in the second half, and 53.3 percent (8-15) from downtown. The White Team shot 49.2 percent (29-59) from the field. White controlled the boards, enjoying a 33-25 margin, and an 8-7 edge in offensive rebounds. The Eagles open the 2007-08 season on November 15 with a non-conference game at Merrimack College. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 p.m. Following the season-opener, the Eagles will take part in the Purple Knight Classic at the University of Bridgeport on November 17-18, and will face American International and Bryant College.
