Men's BasketballThree Men's Basketball Players Garner All-CACC Kudos February 26, 2008 NEW HAVEN, Conn.-Senior swingman Arthur Robertson (Far Rockaway, N.Y./Beach Channel) was named to the first-team All-Central Atlantic Collegiate (CACC) Men's Basketball team, as the conference announced its post-season awards on Tuesday afternoon. Three Post University men's basketball players received All-Conference plaudits, as senior forward Peter Lawal (Uniondale, N.Y./Uniondale) was named to the third-team, and junior forward AJ Reitter (Baltimore, Md./Franklin) was an honorable mention selection. Robertson, who was a third-team selection last year, was named CACC Player of the Week on December 10, after recording a career-high 32 points against Pace University. He has recorded 20 double-digit games this season, including his last 14 games for the Green and White. In addition, he has scored over 20 points seven times, and registered 10 double-doubles, including three of the last four games. The senior is sixth in the CACC in scoring with 16.8 points per game, and is second in the conference and 38th in NCAA Division II with 8.9 rebounds an outing. Robertson is also eighth in free throw shooting percentage (.756). He scored his 1,000th-point on November 20 against C.W. Post, and enters the final week of the regular season with 1,325 career points, and 765 career rebounds. Lawal was honored by the conference for the second season in a row, as last year; he was an honorable mention selection. As a senior, the 6-foot-5 forward has 17 double-digit point efforts to his credit, including seven of the last eight games, and four in a row. He has notched six double-doubles this season, and has scored 20 or more points on five occasions. The Uniondale, N.Y. native is in the top-20 in the CACC in scoring with 12.5 points per game, is 13th in rebounding with 6.5 caroms per contest, and is fourth in field goal percentage. Reitter was named honorable mention for the second consecutive season, and improved upon his breakout sophomore season, bettering his numbers in just about all offensive categories for the Eagles this season. He is a two-time CACC Player of the Week, and has the second-highest point outing in the conference and the Northeast Region with 42 points against Felician on January 10. Reitter has recorded 20 double-digit point outings this season, including five games with 20 or more points. He is eighth in the CACC in scoring with 15.4 points per game, tied for third in the conference in three-pointers made with 55, and tied for sixth in blocked shots with 35. The Eagles under Head Coach Mike Donnelly, who was named CACC Coach of the Year last season, are 14-12 overall, and clinched the top-spot in the CACC North Division with a 10-5 conference record. The Eagles will host the first-round of the CACC Men's Basketball Championships on Saturday afternoon at the Drubner Center. Post's opponent in the first-round will be determined after the regular season concludes on Wednesday evening.
