Men's BasketballReitter Garners Second CACC Player Of The Week Award February 11, 2008 NEW HAVEN, Conn.-Junior forward AJ Reitter (Baltimore, Md./Franklin) garnered his second Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week Award, this season, after averaging 21.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks, for the Post University men's basketball team in a pair of CACC North wins last week. He was named CACC Player of the Week on January 14, after pouring in a Northeast Region and CACC single-game high point-total to that point of the season with 42 points against Felician. It was the third time he was named Player of the Week, after earning the award on January 22, 2007. Reitter led the Eagles to an 80-65 win over Dominican College, last Saturday afternoon, with a game-high 25 points. It was the third 20-point outing and 17th double-digit effort for the junior from Baltimore. In addition, he also grabbed six rebounds and had a block and a steal in 31 minutes. He also had 18 points in a 63-55 win over Caldwell College, last Tuesday evening. Reitter shot 6-of-14 from the field, and knocked down four three-pointers. The junior also grabbed four rebounds. The 6-foot-5 junior forward is second on the team in scoring with 15.1 points per game. He is also grabbing 4.5 rebounds per contest, and leads the team with 31 blocks. Post returns to the hardwood on Wednesday, Feb. 13 against Bloomfield College. Tip-off is slated for 8 p.m. Under Head Coach Mike Donnelly, the Eagles are 12-11 overall and lead the CACC North Division with a 9-4 record. The game is also "Think Pink" Night, as both the men's and
women's basketball teams will help raise awareness for the fight
against Breast Cancer. Fans wearing an article of pink clothing
will receive free admission, and S.A.A.C. will be collecting
donations for the American Cancer Society.
