Men's BasketballMen's Basketball Earns 63-55 Win Over Caldwell February 5, 2008 WATERBURY, Conn.-Senior swingman Arthur Robertson (Far Rockaway, N.Y./Beach Channel) recorded his eighth double-double of the season with 22 points and 11 rebounds, as the Post University men's basketball team defeated Caldwell College, 63-55, Tuesday evening at the Drubner Center. With the win, the Eagles improve to 11-11 overall, and 8-4 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). Caldwell falls to 8-13 overall and 6-5 in the CACC. Caldwell and Dominican are tied for second in the CACC North, as the Chargers defeated Nyack 71-60 in another CACC contest Tuesday evening. Robertson, who was named CACC Honorable mention on Monday, connected on 5-of-9 from the field and 11-of-14 from the free throw line. He also had three assists, and five steals in 35 minutes of action. Junior AJ Reitter (Baltimore, Md./Franklin) chipped in with 18 points on 6-of-15 shooting. The junior forward sank four three-pointers and grabbed four rebounds, in addition to having two blocks and a steal. Freshman guard Garvin McAlister (Norwich, Conn./N.F.A.) and junior forward Omar Robinson (Brooklyn, N.Y./Canarsie) each had eight points for the Eagles in the game. McAlister had four steals, while Robinson grabbed six rebounds. Senior forward Peter Lawal (Uniondale, N.Y./Uniondale) only had five points in 24 minutes of action, but he continues to inch closer to the 1,000-point plateau. Following tonight's game, the senior forward needs 56 points to become the second Eagle to reach the milestone this season. Robertson joined the 1,000-point club at Post earlier this season. Post returns to the Drubner Center on Saturday afternoon, as
they welcome Dominican College for a CACC North clash. Tip-off is
slated for 3 p.m., following the Post-Dominican women's game.
