Men's BasketballFive Scorers In Double Figures, Lifts Men's Basketball To OT Win At Bloomfield January 29, 2008 BLOOMFIELD, N.J.-Freshman guard Garvin McAlister's (Norwich, Conn./N.F.A.) three-pointer tied the game at 77-77, with time running out in regulation, and the Post University men's basketball team, scored nine points in the extra session, as the Eagles defeated Bloomfield, 86-81, Tuesday evening on the road. McAlister, who scored double digits for the third game in a row and for the fourth time in his brief career with the Green and White, was one of five Eagles' (9-10, 6-4 CACC) to record double digits, with 10 points. Senior swingman Arthur Robertson (Far Rockaway, N.Y./Beach Channel) led Post, with a team-high 23 points and 16 rebounds. The senior, is coming off a 23-point, 19-rebound effort last Saturday against Philadelphia University. This evening, Robertson connected on 7-of-16 from the field, and was 8-of-11 from the charity stripe. He grabbed eight offensive caroms, and had a pair of assists and a steal in 30 minutes. Junior forward Omar Robinson (Brooklyn, N.Y./Canarsie) chipped in with 14 points, and three three-pointers. Junior forward AJ Reitter (Baltimore, Md./Franklin) added 12 points, eight rebounds, and three blocks in 37 minutes. Senior forward Peter Lawal (Uniondale, N.Y./Uniondale) recorded a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Lawal had six offensive rebounds, and had two blocks and two steals for the Eagles. Post controlled the inside, out rebounding Bloomfield (12-11, 3-6 CACC) 59-55, and enjoying a 22-21 advantage on the offensive glass. The Eagles also held a 21-14 edge in second chance points. Post recorded eight blocks, which is the second most this season. The Eagles had 10 on November 20 against C.W. Post University. Fourteen of the 26 Eagle field goals were assisted baskets. Omari Knox had a game-high 24 points, to lead four Bloomfield players in double figures. Gage Daye added 20 points, while Barney Anderson and Chris Sampson had 14 and 11 points respectively. Namdi Ahaneku had 13 rebounds. Post returns to the Drubner Center on Thursday evening, as it welcomes Nyack College to town. The Eagles will play six of their next seven games at home, beginning the Warriors on Thursday night. The lone road trip in that swing is Saturday's non-conference tilt at UMass.-Lowll. Tip-off for the Nyack game is slated for 8 p.m. following the
