With the win, the Tigers improve to 8-5 overall and 2-2 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC), while the Eagles fall to 6-7 overall and 3-1 in CACC play. Robertson, who had 15 points and 10 rebounds against Goldey-Beacom last Saturday, recorded a team-high 18 points and 10 rebounds, this evening. The senior was also near automatic from the free throw line, converting 10-of-12 from the line. The Eagles also received a career-high offensive effort from freshman Spencer Smith (White Plains, N.Y./White Plains). Smith netted 11 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the field. He nailed a three-pointer, and grabbed three rebounds, including two on the offensive glass. Senior forward Peter Lawal (Uniondale, N.Y./Uniondale) added nine points and five rebounds for the Eagles. Lawal, who on Monday was named CACC Honorable Mention, needs two more rebounds to reach 600 in his collegiate career. Holy Family was led by four players in double figures, and three of them recorded double-double. Michael Sturns, who leads NCAA Division II in scoring had 31 points and 12 rebounds, while London Houston had 16 points and 17 rebounds, and Ceazer Johnson had 13 points and 12 rebounds. Ryan Lancaster added 10 points and nine rebounds. Post had a difficult night shooting the basketball, connecting on only 24-of-83 shots (28.9 percent). The Eagles also struggled behind the three-point arc, shooting 11.5 percent (3-26). Holy Family shot 47.8 percent (32-67) from the field, but did not connect from three-point range, missing each of the seven shots from distance. The Tigers out rebounded the Eagles 59-44, but Post held a 19-17 advantage on the offensive glass. Post scored 17 points off 16 Holy Family turnovers, however the Tigers outscored the Eagles 56-26 in the paint. Post will return to action on Thursday evening, as it will
conclude the seven-game road trip at Felician College. Tip-off is
