Post University Golf Program Featured On WTIC-AM

WATERBURY, Conn.-Post University men's golf Head Coach Pete Stevens appeared on the popular Sports Talk show, on 1080 WTIC-AM (Hartford), Thursday evening. Stevens talked about the Post University men's golf program, previewed the upcoming Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championships, and talked about his 15-month deployment in the U.S. Army last year to Iraq.

The CACC Championships will be held at the Back Creek Country Club in Wilmington, Del. April 14-15. The Eagles will be vying for their third straight CACC Championship, and looking to earn their fourth straight trip to the NCAA Division II Northeast Regional Championship, May 5-7, at the same Back Creek course.

The Eagles are coming off a victory at the Peter King Memorial Golf Tournament, hosted by Dowling College, April 7. Post was led by freshman Ryan Phillip who captured individual medalist honors, by shooting a 146 (75-71) for the tournament.

Fellow freshman David McGregor, was named CACC Player and CACC Rookie of the Week on Monday, after finishing tied for second, with a 148 (78-71) at the Goldey-Beacom Invitational at the Hartefeld National Golf Course in Avondale, Pa.
