Golf Completes First Day At Goldey-Beacom Invitational

WILMINGTON, Del.-The Post University men's golf team opened the fall portion of its 2007-08 schedule on Saturday afternoon in the first round of the Goldey-Beacom College Fall Invitational at the 6,608-yard Frog Hollow Country Club.

Sophomore Lee Wanklyn led the Eagle contingent firing a five-over par 76 in his first action of the 2007-08 season. Last year, Wanklyn was named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Rookie of the Year.

Freshman Ryan Philipp was second on the team, after carding an 80 in his first collegiate round.

Junior Jamie Blake rounded out the top three for the Eagles with a round of 82.

Sophomore James Livingstone was fourth on the team with an 83, and senior Calum Malcolm registered an 85.

The Eagles will conclude the 36-hole tournament on Sunday morning, with second round action beginning at approximately 9 a.m.
