GolfMcGregor Sweeps CACC Golf Awards April 7, 2008 NEW HAVEN, Conn.-Freshman David McGregor took home both the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player of the Week and the CACC Rookie of the Week awards, as the conference announced it weekly awards on Monday afternoon. McGregor, helped lead the Eagles to a third-place showing at the Goldey-Beacom Invitational which was held at the Hartefeld National Golf Course in Avondale, Pa. In the second and final round of the tournament, McGregor carded a one-under 71, to finish the 36-hole tournament with a score of 148 (78, 71). He recorded the second-lowest round, in the second-round, to finish in a four-way tie for second place, just one stroke back of medalist Gavin Smith of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. In addition, sophomore Lee Wanklyn earned CACC honorable mention honors, after finishing tied for ninth with a pair of 75's in the tournament. It was the second CACC honor of the season for Wanklyn, who was named CACC Player of the Week on March 25. The Eagles return to the links April 13-15, as they will be
