Golf In Seventh Place After First Round Of Goldey-Beacom Invitational

AVONDALE, Pa.-Senior Calum Malcolm carded a three-over par 74 and the Eagles finished first round action in seventh place following first round action at the Goldey-Beacom Invitational, Monday afternoon at the Hartefeld National Golf Course.

The Eagles shot a 308 in the first round on the 6,969-yard course. The tournament will conclude on Tuesday with second round play.

Malcolm is joined by three other golfers at +3 for the tournament, as Thomas Lalonde of Dominican, Nicolas Milito of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and Anthony Gallardo are bunched together, three strokes behind the leaders.

Sophomore Lee Wanklyn is second on the team, and tied for 11th overall with a four-over 75.

Freshman David McGregor finished Monday's round third on the team and tied for 22nd overall with a 77, while freshman Ryan Philipp and sophomore James Livingstone each carded an 82.

Indiana University of Pa. leads the 16-team field with a 298, and is followed by Dowling (304), Adelphi (306), Millersville (306), Dominican (307), West Chester (307), the Eagles (308), Wilmington (311), American International (316), UMass-Lowell (321), Pace (323), Goldey-Beacom (329), Southern New Hampshire (329), Caldwell (341), Holy Family (344), and Felician (378).
