GolfGolf Finishes Play At Pace Spring Invitational March 21, 2008 MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.-Lee Wanklyn registered a second-round score of 75, to lead the Post University golf team in the final round of the 2008 Pace University Spring Invitational, Friday, at the Crown Park Country Club. The Eagles recorded a second-round score of 314, to finish fifth overall with a two-round total of 632. "I'm very disappointed in our play today," Head Coach Pete Stevens said. "We made a lot of mental errors and need to tighten up our game. We have a very talented team, but we have to get running on all cylinders sooner than later." Wanklyn was one stroke better than his first round score, and finished the tournament with a combined score of 151. Ryan Phillip was second on the team on Friday, after carding a 78. He finished with a two-round total of 157. Jamie Blake followed with an 80 in the second-round, finishing the tournament with a 158. David McGregor recorded a 166 (85-81), and Calum Malcolm finished the tournament with a 172 (85-87). Pace won the team title with a two-round score of 614. Brevard finished second with a 617, and Dowling rounded out the top-three with a 622. UMass-Lowell (625), the Eagles (632), Dominican (633), LeMoyne (643), Wilmington (645), Goldey-Beacom (666), and Nyack (670) comprised the rest of the field.
