WATERBURY, Conn.-The Post University men's golf team, which is ranked third in the NCAA Northeast Regional rankings, will travel to Middletown, Del. for the 2007 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Golf Championships at the 6,124-yard Frog Hollow Country Club.

The Eagles, who won the 2006 CACC Championships by three strokes last season over Goldey-Beacom, look to defend their crown once again, after finishing third at the Peter King Memorial, hosted by Dowling College, in their last tournament.

Freshman Lee Wanklyn has paced the Eagles thus far in the spring, garnering back-to-back CACC Rookie of the Week honors. He finished fifth overall at the Peter King Memorial, and finished tied for ninth at the Goldey-Beacom Invitational. In addition, he also finished first overall at the Holy Family Invitational.

In the fall, the Eagles captured the 2006 ECAC Championships, and junior Lloyd Notley finished first overall in the two-day ECAC Championships.

Calum Malcolm is the leading returnee from last year's Championship, as he finished third overall with a score of 147 (73, 74). The Eagles had four golfers in the top-10 last year.

The Eagles led by interim Head Coach Tommy Dorso, Jr., while Head Coach Pete Stevens is serving in the U.S. Army. Dorso finished fifth at last year's championships

After a practice round on Sunday, the CACC Championships will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. on Monday morning. The two-round tournament will conclude on Tuesday, weather permitting.
