GolfMen's Golf Captures Second CACC Championship In A Row April 17, 2007 MIDDLETOWN, Del.-Freshman Lee Wanklyn finished third overall and the Eagles had two players in the top-10, as the Post University men's golf team won its second Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Golf Championship, on a cold and blustery Tuesday afternoon, at the Frog Hollow Country Club. Wanklyn fired a three-over par 74, and sophomore Lloyd Notely finished tied for fourth with a five-over par 76, to garner spots on the All-CACC team. It is the second All-CACC honor for Notely, as he finished ninth at the CACC Championships last year. The Eagles recorded a team score of 311, just one shot ahead of Goldey-Beacom College. Dominican finished third with a 316. Nyack was fourth with a team score of 317, and Wilmington College rounded out the top-five with a 323. Holy Family finished sixth with a 327, and was followed by Philadelphia (338), USP (340), Felician (367), and Caldwell (392). Interim Head Coach Tommy Dorso was named the 2007 CACC Coach of the Year, as he leads the Eagles this season, as Head Coach Pete Stevens is serving in the U.S. Army. Junior Calum Malcolm was third on the team, shooting an 80 for the round. Sophomore Jamie Blake recorded an 81, and freshman Josh Ralton rounded out the team with an 86. Jonathan Carr of Nyack earned individual medalist honors with a one-over par 72. Steve Cutler of Goldey-Beacom was second with a 73, and Wanklyn rounded out the top-three with his 74. The tournament was shortened to 18-holes because of the remnants, of the nor'easter the drenched almost the entire Atlantic seaboard, on Sunday and Monday. With the win, the Eagles earn a spot in the NCAA Northeast Regional Championship. The field will be announced at a later date. The Eagles will return to the links, April 22-23 at the UMass-Lowell Invitational.
