Day 1 Of CACC Golf Tournament Washed Out

MIDDLETOWN, Del.-With winds gusting up to 50 miles per hour, the first round of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Golf Championships has been cancelled.

The nor'easter that dumped rain and caused flooding from Maryland to Maine, has forced the tournament to become and 18-hole event beginning on Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. at the Frog Hollow Country Club.

Post is the defending champions in the tournament, after shooting a team score of 616 last year, to gain the conference's automatic bid into the NCAA Division II Northeast Region Championship.

The Eagles are ranked third, according to the April 13, 2007 NCAA Northeast Regional Poll and are led by interim Head Coach Tommy Dorso, while Head Coach Pete Stevens is serving in the U.S. Army.
