GolfMen's Golf Ties For Sixth At Goldey-Beacom Invitational March 28, 2007 AVONDALE, Pa.-Freshman Lee Wanklyn tied for ninth, as the Post University men's golf team finished tied for sixth, in the first tournament of the spring season, at the Goldey-Beacom Invitational, at the 6,470-yard Hartefeld National Golf Course. The Eagles shot 306-322 in the two-day event to finish with a team total of 628, just two-shots back of the top five. Post led after the first round. Wanklyn fired an even-par 72 on the first day of the tournament, but struggled in the second-round carding a nine-over par, 81. He was plus-9 for the tournament, finishing in a four-way tie for ninth. Sophomore Lloyd Notley finished second on the team and tied for 13th overall with a two-round total of 154. He finished the first-round with a one-over 73, and finished the second day, nine-over par, to finish plus-10 for the tournament. Junior Calum Malcolm was plus-11, finishing in a five-way tie for 17th overall with a two-round total of 155. After firing an 80 on Monday, Malcolm came back to record a three-over 75 on Tuesday to finish third on the team. The Eagles were rounded out by sophomore Jamie Blake who finished with a combined total of 166 (81, 85), to finish tied for 54th overall. Freshman James Livingston rounded out the Post contingent with a 174 (87, 87) finishing 73rd overall. Post returns to action on Wednesday, as they travel to the Holy Family University Invitational.
