GolfGolf Team Opens Spring Season This Weekend March 21, 2007 WATERBURY, Conn.-The Post University men's golf team opens the spring portion of its 2006-07 season this weekend at the Goldey-Beacom Invitational and the Holy Family University Invitational. The Eagles open the spring portion of the schedule at the Goldey-Beacom College Invitational March 26-27 at the Hartefeld National Golf Course in Avondale, Pa. On March 28, the Eagles will take on Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) foes Holy Family, Caldwell, and Dominican at Holy Family. The Eagles are coming off a very successful fall campaign, in which it captured its first ECAC Division II Championship with a two-round team score of 595 on the 6,213-yard par-71 Drumlins Golf Club in Syracuse, N.Y. Lloyd Notley fired an even-par 71 in the second-round to finish first with a two-round score of 138, claiming individual medalist honors for the first time in his career. In his next outing of the fall Notley carded a one-under 71 to win the Dominican College (NY) Invitational, as the Eagles finished first in the four-team event. Following this weekend's action, the Eagles will take part in
the Dowling College Invitational, April 1-2, before defending their
CACC Championship April 15-16.
