Huffine singled to center, then after a pitching change, junior designated hitter Joe Proscia (Brooklyn, N.Y./Xaverian) walked, bringing senior left fielder Eric Rovinetti (Watertown, Conn./Southern Connecticut State) to the plate, where he ripped a single to knock in Huffine.

Then, junior catcher Mike Moriarty (Long Beach, N.Y./Nassau C.C.) roped a single back up the middle, scoring two runs to give the Eagles the lead.
