BaseballBaseball Heads South For Spring Break March 5, 2008 WATERBURY, Conn.-After having a pair of games this week postponed due to the weather, the Post University baseball team will head south in search of sunnier skies, during its annual "Spring Break" trip to Florida. The Eagles (1-4) are slated to play 10 games over eight days, beginning with a doubleheader against Shippensburg University, on Saturday, March 8 at 10 a.m. at the Bob Gladwin Baseball Complex in Fort Pierce, Fla. The next day, the Eagles will play a twinbill against Pitt-Johnstown at 1 p.m. in Fort Pierce. On Monday, March 10, the Eagles will travel to Melbourne, Fla. for a nine-inning game against Florida Tech. First pitch is slated for 3 p.m. The Eagles continue the trek through the "Sunshine State," on Tuesday, March 11, as they head to Boca Raton, Fla. for a nine-inning game with Lynn University. First pitch is slated for 2:30 p.m. Post will stay in Boca Raton for a pair of Northeast Region games with St. Thomas Aquinas College, March 12 and 13. Both games are slated for 10 a.m. starts at Lynn University. In addition, the games against STAC will be played with wood bats, as all Northeast Region games this season will be played with wood this season. The Eagles return to Fort Pierce, Fla. for the first of four meetings this season with Chestnut Hill College at 12:30 p.m. Chestnut Hill is in its first season as a member of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). The game in Florida will be a non-conference affair and will be played with wood bats. Post will conclude the trip, squaring off against Slippery Rock
