BaseballBaseball To Face Three Ranked Teams In Upcoming Season January 3, 2008 WATERBURY, Conn.-The Post University baseball team will face three teams ranked in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Pre-Season Poll, this season. The Eagles will face each team, while on their southern trip to Florida in March. The Eagles will first face the number-39 ranked team Shippensburg University in a doubleheader on Saturday, March 8 at the Bob Gladwin Baseball Complex in Fort Pierce, Fla. Shippensburg was 28-24 last season, and received 32 points in the poll. Post will then face number-40 Lynn University on Tuesday, March 11 at the McCusker Sports Center in Boca Raton, Fla. Last season, Lynn was 32-24, and garnered 24 points according to the poll. The Eagles will close out their trip to the "Sunshine State," against number-30 Slippery Rock University, in Fort Pierce. Slippery Rock finished the 2007 campaign with a 35-17 overall record, and received 170 points. In 2007, the Eagles finished with an 18-20 overall record and an 8-8 mark in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) falling one-game shy of qualifying for the CACC Championships under Head Coach AJ McNamara.
