BaseballBaseball Announces Alumni Team For Alumni Game September 21, 2007 WATERBURY, Conn.-Post University baseball Head Coach AJ McNamara announced the Alumni Team, that will face the current Post baseball team, in the second-annual Alumni Game on Sunday, Oct. 7, at Municipal Stadium in Waterbury, Conn. "It's exciting to see all these great names and former ballplayers coming back to participate in the Alumni Game," McNamara said. "I think it says a lot about the direction of the program when a good handful of alums are coming back. I'm encouraged by the turnout thus far, and I look forward to shaking the hand of every former player who has put on the Green and White." Alumni Team (As of September 21, 2007) Josh Payne: Is third on the all-time hits list, a career .300 hitter, and led the team in hitting in 2001. Jimmy Coleman: All-time leader in hits, second in career RBI, played professionally for the Brockton Rox of the Can-Am League. Geoff Stafford: Won five games in 2003, helping the Eagles make the CACC Championships. Rocco Yuhas: Led the team in hitting in 2004, and led the team in homeruns, back-to-back years (2003, 2004). Pete Smaldone: A stalwart in the infield, was a member of the 2003 playoff team. Ryan Depolo: Just finished his collegiate career in 2007 was a three-year starter and captain. Jordan Klein: Is second on the school's all-time runs batted in list and fourth on the career hits list. Jeff Van Stone: Led the pitching staff in earned run average in 2000. Jamie Kroffssik: Logged over 180 innings, led the pitching staff in innings pitched in 1999, 2000, and 2001. Chris Braxton: Career leader in stolen bases. Jake Messere: Finished his career with over 100 innings pitched for the Eagles. Tim Lemoin: Played three seasons for the Eagles. Tim O'Neill: Finished his career with a .318 batting average, and helped the Eagles make the 2003 CACC Championships. Mike Padovani: was co-captain of the 2007, career leader in saves, eighth in single-season runs batted in. Will Pierce: Was a member of the 2003 playoff team. Pat Tracy: Finished his career, this past season, was a four-year member of the team. Gary Niles: Pitched four years for the Eagles. James Woodward: Four-year starting pitcher. Ken Bratinas: Member of the 2003 CACC Championship team. Following the game, there will be a barbeque for all players,
friends, and family of the Post University baseball program. For
