Huffine Added To Baseball Roster

August 6, 2007

WATERBURY, Conn.-Post University baseball Head Coach AJ McNamara announced that Corey Huffine, a transfer from McCook Community College in Nebraska, has been added to the roster for the 2008 season.

The 5-foot-11 infielder batted .344 this past season in a wood bat conference. He was also a second-team All-Region IX selection.

"Corey will make an immediate impact in our program," McNamara said. "He can play multiple infield positions, and had an outstanding glove as well as an above average arm. Offensively, he put together a really good resume playing in a competitive Midwest junior college conference."

"I am excited about his commitment to Post University and our baseball family," McNamara added.

In his first season as the Eagle skipper, McNamara guided Post to an 18-20 overall record and an 8-8 mark in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC), falling one game shy of reaching the CACC Championships.

Post finished the season winning three of its last four games, and five of its last eight games.
