Post Volleyball Earns #7 Seed in NCAA Tournament, Will Play #2 Daemen

Eagles Making Third-Consecutive NCAA Appearance, First At-Large Bid

INDIANAPOLIS – The Post University women's volleyball team was selected to play in the NCAA East Regional for the third consecutive year as the brackets were announced tonight. The Eagles earned the seventh seed and will play second-seed Daemen in the opening round on Thursday, Dec. 1 in Amherst, N.Y.
 
The Eagles' bid for their third-straight Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship fell short over the weekend as they fell to Caldwell 3-2 in the semifinals. Post finished the season with a 26-5, including a 13-0 mark at home and were ranked as high as fourth in the region. This marks the highest seed Post has ever earned in the regional and the first at-large bid in team history.
 
Daemen finished the season at 23-7 overall and 13-1 in East Coast Conference (ECC) play. The Wildcats were the top-ranked team in the region until they fell to NYIT in the conference championship game. Daemen is led by ECC Player of the Year Ashley Drzymala.

Post is 2-3 against the other teams in the region with victories over No. 3 New Haven and No. 5 Le Moyne.
