WATERBURY, Conn. – The Post University men's soccer team was defeated by Nyack 1-0 in its regular season finale at LaMoy Field on Friday afternoon. The Eagles finish the year 5-8-4 overall and 4-4-4 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play earning the No. 8 seed in the conference tournament which begins on Tuesday.
 
Nyack scored the game's only goal in the 10^th minute as Finn Reese connected on shot from inside the box. The Eagles had a chance to tie the game in the 41^st minute as they were awarded a penalty kick. Junior David Ortiz Correa (Envigado, Colombia) was unable to convert as the score remained 1-0 into halftime.
 
Post had one chance on goal in the second half after a Nyack yellow card in the 75^th minute. Freshman Samuel Urban (Košice, Slovakia) had his shot saved by the Warriors' keeper.
 
Nyack outshot Post 9-6 overall and 5-3 on goal. Senior Jon Hanlon (Centereach, N.Y.) made four stops on the afternoon.
 
The Eagles will visit top-seeded Concordia on Tuesday, Nov. 1 in the first round of the CACC Tournament. Kickoff in Bronxville, N.Y. is set for 2 p.m.
