2014-15 NABC Honor Court ReleaseKANSAS CITY, Mo. – Three student-athletes from the Post University men's basketball team were named to the 2014-15 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court on Thursday.
Nardie Bogues (Baltimore, Md.),
Shannon McCready (Melbourne, Australia), and
Brandt Voiles (Byron, Ill.) all earned the honor which recognizes the talents and gifts the student-athletes possess off the court and the hard work they exhibit in the classroom.
In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet four qualifications. They must academically be a junior or senior, hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2014-15 academic year, have matriculated at least one year at their current institution, and be a member of a NCAA Division I, II, III or NAIA Division I or II institution with a NABC member coach.
Bogues, a Business Administration major, boasted a 3.39 GPA last year. He started 25 games at point guard and was second on the team at 11.9 points per game and was fourth in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) with 113 assists. Bogues was named Third Team All-CACC.
McCready led the team with a 3.84 GPA in the Business Administration and Marketing program. He played in 19 games off the bench and posted season-highs of four points and six rebounds against Daemen.
Voiles, a Sport Management major, held a 3.52 GPA. He made 22 starts and was third on the team with 29 made three-pointers. Voiles scored in double-figures four times, including a season-high 13 points twice.
The Eagles finished second in the CACC North Division and made their 11
th straight appearance in the conference tournament. Post begins its 2015-16 campaign on Nov. 13 against Assumption as part of the Stonehill Tip-Off Classic.
