CACC Spring All-Academic Team Includes 14 Post Student-Athletes

Softball Leads Way With Seven Honorees

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Fourteen Post University student-athletes were named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Spring All-Academic Team on Monday. The softball team led the way with seven honorees.

In order to be named to the CACC All-Academic team, recipients must have participated in a CACC Championship sport in the Spring. They must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have been a student-athlete at their current school for at least two semesters, and achieve a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher through the spring semester.

Women's lacrosse student-athlete Miranda Polaski (Agawam, Mass./Biology) earned the honor for the third year and teammate Jasana Levy (Meiden, Conn./Legal Studies) was selected for the second time.

Julien Casaubon (Joliette, Quebec/Accounting) of the men's track and field team, Kaitlin Iacomini (Pleasant Valley, N.Y./Psychology) of the softball team, and men's golfer Patrick Hartnett (Chicago, Ill./Marketing) also made their second appearance on the team.

The rest of the Post honorees were first timers including six from the softball team; Marissa Cammarano (Bedford, Mass./Sport Management) Kate Dawson (Newfields, N.H./Sport Management), Alivia Hubert (Waterbury, Conn./Criminal Justice), Natalie Lennox (Landenberg, Pa./Psychology), Kristen Owens (Exton, Pa./Communications) and Erica Ragazzone (Philadelphia, Pa./Communications). Cammarano also won the Top XV Award at the CACC Tournament.

Joining Casaubon, John Ducham (Waterbury, Conn./Sport Management) and Jesse Perez (Waterbury, Conn./Legal Studies) also represented the men's track and field team.

CACC Baseball Top XV Award winner Drew Deangelis (Robbinsville, N.J./Business) represented the baseball team.

A total of 154 student-athletes from the 14 conference institutions earned a spot on the team. Softball led the conference with 62 total selections.
