NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Three members of the Post University women's bowling team were named to the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) All-Academic team on Tuesday.
Senior Lauren Gelati (Thomaston, Conn./Marketing), junior Laura Morgan (Brush Prarie, Wash./Business Administration and Communications), and freshman Katharina Mertz (Buxtehude, Germany/Biology and Communication) all earned a spot on the team.
In order to make the team a student-athlete must have had a grade-point average of at least 3.4 during the 2014-15 academic year. This year the team features 163 student-athletes from 32 schools across all three NCAA Divisions.
Gelati led Post with a 154.7 average this season and placed in the top-10 in two events. Mertz (110.7) and Morgan (106.6) had the second and third highest averages on the team.
