AUSTIN, Texas. – Post University women's lacrosse student-athlete
Miranda Polaski (Agawam, Mass.) received one of the highest intercollegiate honors on Wednesday as she was named to the Capital One Academic All-American Division II At-Large First Team. She becomes the first student-athlete at Post ever to receive a First Team selection.
Polaski scored a career-high 49 goals to go with 85 draw controls, 76 ground balls, and 31 caused turnovers, all of which were in the top-five in the CACC. She was fourth in Division II in ground balls and eighth in draw controls. Polaski also added 12 assists for 61 points, the third highest single-season total in school history.
The Capital One Academic All-America Division II Women's At-Large program includes the sports of bowling, crew, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming and diving, tennis and water polo. Polaski was one of just four lacrosse players selected this year.
In Post women's lacrosse history, Polaski finished first in career goals (152), assists (80), points (232), shots (296), shots on goal (231), ground balls (217), draw controls (237), and caused turnovers (99). She earned a spot on the Third Team last year.
Polaski, Post's class of 2015 valedictorian with at 3.99 grade-point average, graduated in May with a degree in Biology.
