2015 Capital One At-Large Academic All-District TeamsWATERBURY, Conn. – Senior
Miranda Polaski (Agawam, Mass.) of the Post University women's lacrosse team was named Capital One At-Large First Team Academic All-District on Thursday for the second year in a row. As Post's Class of 2015 valedictorian, she boasted a 3.99 grade-point average in her college career.The honorees are voted on by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Polaski scored a career-high 49 goals to go with 85 draw controls, 76 ground balls, and 31 caused turnovers, all of which were in the top-five in the CACC. She is fourth in the NCAA Division II in ground balls and eighth in draw controls. Polaski also has 12 assists for 61 points, the third highest single-season total in school history.
In Post women's lacrosse history, Polaski finished first in career goals (152), assists (80), points (232), shots (296), shots on goal (231), ground balls (217), draw controls (237), and caused turnovers (99).
First-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the Capital One Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be announced on June 10. Last season Polaski earned Third Team All-America honors.
