WATERBURY, Conn. – Junior
Skylar German (Kansas City, Mo.) of the Post University women's volleyball team was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District First Team on Thursday.
German has recorded 333 kills, 33 service aces, and 91 total blocks this year to lead Post, all of which are top-10 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). She also leads the conference and is 15
th in Division II with a .367 hitting percentage. Off the court German boasts a 3.92 grade-point average as a Biology major.
During her two years at Post, German has taken home many honors including CACC Player of the Year, ECAC First Team All Star, American Volleyball Coaches' Association of America (AVCA) All-East Region, and Daktronics Honorable Mention All-American.
The First Team honorees from each of the eight districts will be added to the All-American ballot and first-, second-, and third-team Academic All-Americans will be announced in early December.
Post (21-8, 14-3 CACC) has already clinched a home match to begin the CACC Tournament and can win the North Division title with a win in either of its final two matches. The Eagles play second-place Bloomfield on the road Friday at 7 p.m.
