Thomas Rees (Cardiff, Wales) and rising senior
Ross Earnshaw (York, England) were named Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Thursday. This marks the first time in school history two members of the Eagles were selected for the honor in the same season.

Rees finished the season as the second-ranked player in the East Region according to Golfstat. He was named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) player of the year and PING All-East Region. In 22 rounds this year, he carded an average score of 75.14 and had six top-20 finishes. He was named CACC All-Academic in two of his four years on campus.

Earnshaw was named to the CACC All-Academic team for the second-consecutive season and was All-CACC for the third straight year. He finished the year with a 77.45 scoring average and was ranked 24
th in the East Region by Golfstat. His best finish was fourth place at the Barton Intercollegiate.

To be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status a student-athlete must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50-percent of his team's competitive rounds or compete in the NCAA Championships, have a stroke-average under 78.0 in Division II, and maintain a minimum cumulaÂtive grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.

David McGregor was the last Eagle to be named to the team in 2011. A total of 248 student-athletes, 57 from NCAA Division II, received the honor.Â
