JJ Cormier (Hialeah, Fla.) was 2-for-3 with one run batted in.

Todd Blair (Ajax, Ontario) had two hits and a run scored. Junior
Mike Shada (Holtsville, N.Y.) had a double for the Eagles only extra-base hit of the day to go along with an RBI. Junior
Marcel Chavez (Los Angeles, Calif.) had one RBI. Senior
Andrew Harris (Huntington Beach, Calif.) struck out two and allowed one hit in three innings of relief.
After a leadoff single by senior
Joe Diz (Albuquerque, N.M.), the Eagles went down in order in the first. Sean Craig drew a walk for Dowling and stole second and third. A hit by pitch loaded the bases with two outs. Joseph Candela tripled to the gap in left center to drive in two runs in the bottom of the first.
Dowling pulled ahead 4-0 with two more runs in the second inning. Michael Rizzitello doubled to left and later stole home. Adam Schuster drew a walk and came home to score on a single through the left side.
Two consecutive errors by the Golden Lions loaded the bases for Post with one out in the top of the third. Chavez drew a walk to bring senior
Ian Toro (New York, N.Y.) home the first Eagles' run. Post couldn't push another run across as they left the bases full.
Dowling added another run in the bottom of the fourth to increase its lead to 5-1. Sophomore
Erik Rodriguez (Miami, Fla.) and Cormier both singled to lead off the seventh. Toro was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Shada doubled to right field to cut the deficit to 5-2. The Eagles grounded into a double play to end the threat.
Blair and junior
Billy Bryant Gonzalez (Ponce, Puerto Rico) both reached to start the eighth. Blair advanced to third on a flyout to centerfield. Cormier drove him in a batter later with a single to center as the Eagles closed the gap to 5-3. Post went down in order in the ninth.
The Eagles will be back in action on Saturday, March 16 as they open up Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play against Chestnut Hill in Philadelphia, Pa. The doubleheader begins at noon.
