NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Post University athletics department had eight student-athletes named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Fall All-Academic Team it was announced on Tuesday morning. The women's soccer program totaled four honorees, while men's soccer and volleyball added three and one, respectively.
Seven of the eight of the selections were honored for at least the second straight season and five were named to the squad for the third consecutive year. In order to be named to the CACC All-Academic team, recipients must have participated in a CACC-Championship sport in the fall. They must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have been a student-athlete at their current school for at least two semesters, and achieve a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.50 or higher through the spring semester.
The women's soccer program led Post with four selections highlighted by senior
Sara Cramer (Lake Hiawatha, N.J./Legal Studies), juniors
Grace McConnell (Leeds, England/Sports Psychology) and
Gabby Verilli (Naugatuck, Conn./Biology) and sophomore
Brina Yanez (West Haven, Conn./Undecided). Cramer is a three-time choice and McConnell and Verilli were named to the CACC Fall All-Academic Team in consecutive years.
Under the direction of two-time CACC Coach of the Year
Ted Haley, the men's soccer program had a trio of three-time honorees. Seniors
Matt Luis (Naugatuck, Conn./Accounting),
Korab Muaremi (Middlebury, Conn./Sport Management) and
Mark Risbridger (Southampton, England/Business Management) were among the 22 student-athletes lauded in men's soccer.

Kelly Hayes (South Orange, N.J./Psychology) of the volleyball team was a three-time honoree.
In total 170 student-athletes from the 14 conference institutions across six different sports made up the CACC Fall All-Academic Team.
