Brendan Barry have been named to the 2010 Division II ECAC 1st Team.
Luisi had a stellar year resulting in him setting a new all-time hit record at Post
University for his career. Luisi maintained a .323 BA with 54 hits and 14 RBI. He also stole five bases throughout the season.
"It's another outstanding honor for Dan, an outstanding young man," said AJ McNamara, Eagles Head Coach. "He genuinely deserves every single award or accolade that comes his way. He is the hardest working young man I have ever coached and I continue to be proud of him and all of his accomplishments as a student-athlete."
Barry led Post University with a .356 BA, 63 hits, 12 doubles, one homerun, and 23 RBI. Barry will return to the program next year.
"Brendan was arguably one of the hottest hitters in the conference down the stretch as he was named to the All-CACC Tournament team for hitting .500 in the playoffs," added McNamara. "Before the season started, the coaches figured whoever stepped in for the graduated Corey Huffine was going to have big shoes to fill but to his credit, Brendan did a tremendous job at continuing our history of very talented and dependable players manning the hot-corner."
Of the schools represented on this year's ECAC First Team, only Post University, Southern Connecticut State, and St. Anselm had more than one player recognized.
