Dominican Tops Eagle Lacrosse 20-4

SOUTHBURY, Conn (April 18, 2010) Post University’s women’s lacrosse season came to a close on Sunday afternoon after a 20-4 loss to the Dominican Chargers. The Eagles will end their season with a 0-14 record.
Dominican jumped to a 3-0 lead, but the Eagles kept up the defensive pressure and switched the momentum their way. Kaitlin Montgomery scored with an assist from Tiericka Harrison to make it 3-1. The Chargers would score two more to extend the lead to 5-2, before Mallorie Michalak could find the back of the net with an assist from Theresa Bengston.
Heading into the halftime break, the Chargers lead 12-2.
In the second half, Dominican scored eight unanswered goals before Harrison scored her first goal of the season on a free position attempt. She would score again before the game came to a close with 2:02 on the clock settling a final score of 20-4.
