MIDDLEFIELD, Conn. (April 12, 2010) Post University's (310) Golf team leads by four strokes over rival Wilmington University (314) in the opening round of the 2010 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship. The Eagles are in search of their fifth consecutive CACC Championship.

“We need to come out and do exactly what we did today if not better,” said David McGregor*, Post University Golf Captain. “If we focus on beating the person we are competing against one on one, we will win this tournament.”

Post University freshman Thomas Rees (40-34—74) leads the tournament overall by two strokes. David McGregor* (38-38—76) and Lee Wanklyn (38-38—76) are in a three way tie for second with Devon Ripley (36-40—76) of Goldey Beacom. 

Marchant di Villier (44-40—84) is currently 20th, while James Livingstone (46-41—87) is 28th of the 55 competitors at this year's tournament.

McGregor has not lost this tournament since his freshman season wearing the Eagle uniform.

The Tournament continues Tuesday morning at the Lyman Orchards Golf Club in Middlefield.
