Norbert Solis and Elizabeth Johnson Named Post University Athletes of the Week
WATERBURY, Conn (February 8, 2010) Men’s Swimmer Norbert Solis and Women’s Basketball player Elizabeth Johnson have been named this week’s Post University Athletes of the Week.
Solis competed in the East Stroudsburg Invitational on Saturday afternoon setting three school records. Solis set the record in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:02.90), 100 yard freestyle (52.17), and 50 yard freestyle (23.96).
Johnson led the Eagles in scoring against Nyack last week by netting 18 points,
pulling in one rebound, and made one steal. Johnson averages 10.1 points per game this season. She is now only one point away from scoring 500 for her career.
While the swimming season has come to a close, Post University’s Women’s Basketball team is preparing for three games this week. The Eagles host Concordia and Goldey Beacom on Tuesday and Thursday. On Saturday Post University travels to play Holy Family.
