Magee Could Tie Bob Knights Coaching Record at Post University
WATERBURY, Conn (February 18, 2010) On Saturday at Post University, history is about to be made. Herb Magee, head coach of Philadelphia University’s Men’s Basketball program is one win away from tying Bob Knight’s career win record at 902.
The last time Magee was going for a national record also came at Post University. A win that day would have made him the coach with the most career wins in Division II history. That was on January 27, 2007 when Post University stunned Philadelphia with an 83-67 win.
If history repeats itself, the record will have to wait until next Thursday during a Philadelphia home game against Nyack.
The women’s game begins at 1pm with the Men’s game to follow at 3pm.
