Bloomfield Tops Women’s Basketball 71-46

BLOOMFIELD, NJ (February 17, 2010) Post University’s Women’s Basketball team fell to Bloomfield College on Wednesday night 71-46. The Eagles are now 6-16, 2-12 CACC. 

Post University’s Aubrey Latham scored 12 points with 11 rebounds for the double double. Bloomfield’s Tiffany McDaniel netted a game-high 22 and pulled down 11 boards.

The Eagles led in the game early against the second seeded Bloomfield Deacons. With 13:31 to play in the first half, Bloomfield only had a one point edge. Both teams struggled shooting in the opening half with three separate three minute periods of time when neither team was able to score. Before the half was over, the Deacons turned an early game deficit into a 37-19 halftime lead.

In the second half, Latham would help the Eagles trade baskets with Bloomfield over the first couple of minutes.  Within four minutes Bloomfield extended their lead to as much as 24. Post University was able to go on a 12-2 run cutting the Deacon lead to 14. As the game went on Bloomfield found their stride once again building a lead they would not relinquish en route to a 71-46 victory.

Post University will be back in action again tomorrow night at Dominican.
