Post University Swimming Loses Close Meet to Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, Conn (January 30, 2010) Post University's Men's and Women's Swimming team took first place in both the mixed 400 meter freestyle relay and the mixed 200 meter freestyle relay Saturday afternoon in Bridgeport.

Nicole Sigona took home first place honors in the 100 meter backstroke, while Norbert Solis placed 4th in the 200 meter freestyle. Solis was also 4th in the 100 meter breaststroke. 

Alex Putrenko and Sigona competed in the 50 meter freestyle placing 6th and 10th respectively. 

Anna Kicinska placed 7th in the 100 meter butterfly. 

All of the events were mixed competition because Bridgeport is also competing in their first year of Men's Swimming, while Post University is in its inaugural season.. The Eagles will be back in action again next Tuesday at Regis College.
