Post Completes Second Round of NCAA Golf Tournament

DANIELS, WV – At 7am Wednesday morning the Post Eagles Golf team resumed their second round of competition. Tournament officials are going to attempt a third round of golf. Post is currently tied for 9th position with a 309 in the second round,  which is +59.

David McGregor led the Eagles with a 75 in the second round. All other players shot 78.

At the conclusion of the second round, the sky was partly cloudy with sun shining on the Cobb Course. Playing a third round plays into the hands of Post after having a slow start in the first round (326).

The radar map shows weather bearing down the Glade Springs Resort. The area will most likely see more rain before day’s end. There is time in the schedule for a rain delay, as the third round will be played shotgun. The challenge is that the greens have already been saturated over the past couple of days and will take time to prepare for play.

In order to advance to the NCAA National Tournament Post will need to place in the top 5.

Round 2 Individual Results:
David McGregor - 75
Jamie Blake - 78
Lee Wanklyn - 78
Jon Lussier - 78
Gavin Wilson - 78
