LAKEWOOD, NJ – After a promising first day of the CACC Softball Tournament, the Eagles season will end with a loss to Bloomfield College. Post will end their season 25-20 overall and 12-12 in the CACC.

Box Score

Post scored the first run of the game in the top of the 1st inning. Canning reached on an error by 1b. Emily Archer reached on a fielder's choice scoring Samantha Pagano.

Bloomfield however would score the eventual winner in the same inning. The Deacons batted in 5 runs off 6 hits to make a statement early and take a 5-2 lead.

Post scored their 2 final runs of the season in the top of the 5th inning. Second All-CACC team catcher Amy Mantha hit a RBI single to left field scoring Samantha Canning. Archer then singled to right field for her second RBI on the day, as Stephanie Carrillo scored.

Bloomfield held on for the win 11-3 and will advance in the CACC Tournament.

Post’s season comes to a close after improving upon last year’s record. For the first time in her college coaching career, Tracey Garofalo made it to the post-season conference playoffs in softball.

In 2010, Post will return several key players including Stephanie Carrillo, Amy Mantha, and Kim Bentson.
