Middletown, DE – The Post University Golf team won the CACC Golf Championship for the 4th consecutive year. The Eagles set a new record for low score at 568. David McGregor* took home the individual championship for the second year in a row.

Post shot 283 in the first round and 285 in the second round of play.

“I am very proud of the way our team played today,” said Post Head Coach Pete Stevens. “Our hard work beginning in the first week of February through today has paid off. We have momentum going into the NCAA Regional Tournament in West Virginia, but we still have work to do.”

David McGregor* took home 1st place overall and was the only player to shoot both rounds in the sixties. McGregor shot a 68 in the first round and a 69 in the second. “It feels good to beat the teams we beat by the amount we did,” said McGregor. “It is great to get the win individually, but the team win is the most important part.”

Jamie Blake was named CACC player of the Year after competing in his final CACC Tournament as a senior. “I am sad to have this come to an end,” said Blake. “We had to overcome adversity throughout the day and everyone pulled their weight. We have our heads in the game preparing for the NCAA Regional in West Virginia.”

The day started out cold for the first round of play, but the weather turned by the time the first 18 holes were complete. Blue skies and temperatures in the low 60's greeted golfers for the second round.
