Post Softball Falls to Georgian Court 5-4

LAKEWOOD, NJ – The Post Eagles stranded 3 runners in the 4th inning en route to a 1 run conference loss to Georgian Court. Samantha Canning hit a two run homerun in the top of the 7th for the Eagles.
Samantha Canning had a solid game for the Eagles making 3 plate appearances, scoring 2 runs on a homerun. It came in the top of the 7th after Cassidie Ern singled to left field allowing Post to chop the lead to one.
With only one out in the top of the 7th, Samantha Pagano walked. Pitcher Stephanie Carrillo popped up to third base for the second out and Amy Mantha grounded out to end the game.
The two other Post runs were scored in the 4th and 5th innings. In the 4th Mantha batted in Canning and Pagano picked up an RBI when Ern scored in the 5th.
