The Drubner CenterThe Drubner Center is our fully operational home to athletics and recreation at Post University. It houses athletic department offices, as well as a newly refurbished gymnasium/basketball court, two outdoor tennis courts, two indoor racquetball courts, two weight rooms, a cardio-vascular workout room, and a four-lane swimming pool. The Drubner Center is the home court for volleyball matches in the fall, as well as men's and women's basketball games in the winter. Community members are offered memberships in the Post University Fitness Institute and the pool hosts a very popular aquatics program. Students share the use of the facility with local residents in the area, who quickly become fans of the athletic teams at the University. The Drubner Center has something for everyone, from the novice to the serious athlete. LaMoy FieldIn the fall our men's and women's soccer teams play at then picturesque LaMoy Field. LaMoy Field is one of the finest soccer complexes in the northeast, hosting CACC Championship matches, and most recently the 2006 ECAC Division II Women's Soccer Championships, as well as numerous Connecticut State High School playoff contests. In the spring, LaMoy Field is also home to the Post University softball program. Both soccer and softball receive a loyal following from student supporters, who can make the short walk from their residence halls to root for the Eagles. Municipal StadiumHistoric Municipal Stadium in Waterbury, Conn., is home to the Post University baseball program. It has a 30-year tradition of hosting professional minor league baseball, as well as exciting college and local high school contests. In addition, Municipal Stadium also hosts several leagues and tournaments during the summer months as well. The field dimensions are 349 feet down the left field line, 338 feet down the right field line, 382 feet in the power alleys, and 400 feet to straight away centerfield. In addition, the 3,000-seat stadium features the Eagles locker room, a fully functional scoreboard, press box, and a concession stand. Hop Brook Lake ParkHop Brook Lake Park in nearby Middlebury, Conn., is run by the
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and provides an ideal locale for Post
University cross country meets. The 536-acre park has numerous
recreation opportunities, abundant wildlife, and peaceful
atmosphere, all within walking distance of campus. Seven mile of
hiking, biking, and running trails, are meticulously maintained. It
is a rich resource for every student at Post.
